Vito SalDucci was here!!!
Vito SalDucci made his first appearance in Colorado this past weekend. He strolled in the door around 4:30pm right behind Choke. As they got through the door, a huge surprise walked in ... Ms. Adrienne Colavita! Who knew?! Choke and A planned it a week ago and left it as a surprise for Vito and I. It was great to see her ... its been a while!
We had a 6:30 reservation at the Boulder Chop House. Dinner was superb! I ordered the Pepper Crusted New York Strip ... cooked to perfection! Butta baby, butta! Should you ever visit any of their 4 locations, I highly recommend the Filet Mignon Oscar ... melts in your mouth!!
After dinner, we took a short walk around Pearl Street ... wish I had a Segway. We stopped for a drink at Foundry's rooftop deck and minutes later headed for Bacaro. The night got ugly, as did I. Unfortunately, we only used a disposable camera and I only have hard copies. I'll have them scanned in a few days for posting.
I took it easy on Friday ... but Choke and Vito were at it again. We were back at Bacaro to watch a local Brazilian band. Of course, I didn't know the lyrics ... but that doesn't stop me from signing. The women were sexy, the drinks were colorful and the weather was perfect. Shake ... shake, shake dat ass girl!!! I insisted on leaving at 11:30 considering the full day we planned at RMNP. Vito and Choke repeated, "Just one more hour!" I don't blame them ... they got a 38 yo woman to show her pearced nipples at the bar ... if I were drunk, I would of stayed too!
Saturday morning came ... Vito was cooked. He dragged himself to the truck wearing a pale white face and his 9mm on his hip. I'm sure he was debating shooting himself considering his condition. After the 30 minute ride to Estes, he couldn't get out of the truck to take a picture. Choke found it in himself to pose for one ... Brown and Choke, the legacy continues ...

Overall, it was a great day at RMNP! The views were amazing, the traffic wasn't bad at all and the weather was once again, perfect. A highlight of the day was when Chad made an appearance along Trail Ridge Road. Who's Chad you ask ... see for yourself ...

If it weren't for the other tourists taking pictures, Chad would of been Sat night's dinner ... especially since we had SalDucci's 9mm with us.
Here's one of the gang ... left to right, Brown, me, Choke, Vito and Uni ... Vito got himself back together for this shot ... he's huge!!!

Of all the pictures I took, the next one is my favorite. It took us 5 hours to get to this spot. The hike was insane. The air was so thin, we could barely breathe. Elevation .... @ 15,000 feet! Where were we ... Top of the World! Fo' shizzl!
More to come ....

Passion and Perfume
This week Boulder is hosting the International Fringe Festival. Saturday we checked out Passion and Perfume produced by Brandy Drew and Russ Canino. It was terrible! For almost all of the performances, the dancers' timing was off ... way off. It was difficult to watch most of them ... way too much jiggle for my buck! And if I had a penny for each time a performer screwed up, I would of walked out a millionaire. A big two thumbs down for Passion and Perfume ... stinky bush!
Skewl Rules
Skewl started yesterday @ CU. I gotta admit, I love it! I'm really pleased with the classes that I'm taking this semester ... thermodynamics, statics, AutoCAD 2006, surveying, and best of all construction method and equipment. Our construction meth Prof. announced on the first day of class that we'll be heading out to a Caterpiller retailer during the semester where we will be allowed to operate various earth moving equipment. I got my eye set on their track loaders.
In addition to fun classes, generally speaking, the talent around campus has improved. Its good to see the population of young women in the engineering program increase ... you go girls!!! The view is much better from where I'm sitting!!!
NO MO' TO PARKING TICKETS!!! This year I got smart and purchased a parking pass for LOT 436. I can now park in the garage adjacent to the engineering building .... bung ... thank you financial aid!!

"We're running out of time!"
Does anyone know when season 5 comes out on DVD???
Did you know .... "37% of Americans Believe Jack Bauer is Real."

VW Jetta - Yay or Nay?
During the past two weeks I've been looking for a new vehicle. So far it looks like VW's Jetta. Today I test drove a 2001 VW Jetta GLS (black). Things I like ... leather interior, pwr wdws, pwr locks, sun roof, tinted windows and heated seats. Things I disliked ... no cd player (a big thumbs down), front wheel drive (prefer AWD) and its an automatic (prefer manual).
The dealer listed the price @ $14k b4 taxes and fees. After a couple of hours of negotiating, I got them down to $12,600 OTD including taxes and fees. I told them $12k even is my number. They couldn't do it ... so I left. If you got anything to say bout Jettas ... good, bad, negotiating strategies ... feel free to comment.

What's Magna?
I recently purchased a brand new 15-speed Magna mountain bike. How much you ask? A whopping $55 ... I think that includes tax. My reason for making the purchase was to use it as my main mode of transportation to and from work. After a few days of riding to work in 95 degree heat (but its dry heat), I came to the realization that a/c is soooo much better. Yup, it took me a few days. Thanks to Progressive, I've got auto insurance once again. I was right ... a/c is the shiz-nizzl. Since insurance is for "in case sh!t happens;" if sh!t don't happen, shouldn't I get my money back?!
BTW .. Magna mountain bikes are so popular, I couldn't find a decent picture of it on Google's image search. Well, at least not on the first three pages!!! What I love even more is that I couldn't find it on the Target website. That's right folks ... it was a Target purchase. Not Target, but Tar-jey!

Plumb This
Today I replaced the fill value in my toilet. What's a fill value you ask? Its the component in the water reservoir (or tank) that fills the tank with water once you flush. Let me set the record straight ... plumbing sucks! BTW ... I rent! So, when I informed my landlord of the problem, he asked that I try to fix it and proceeded to tell me that it would cost him close to $300 to have someone come by and fix it. Long story short, he didn't have the loot! Hmmm ... where's my security deposit at??? Do we sign another year lease???

HS Reunion
Received an email today that my HS reunion will take place in a month. Sometimes I wonder where my classmates have gone and what they've been up to. But the truth of the matter is ... I don't really care! Is it really worth a $400 ticket back to NY?? Only if I can stop at Katz's ... pastrami fo' shizzil!!!

Do you believe in astrology?
My August Horoscope by Susan Miller
"Over the past two years, you moved through a critical career phase where your professional abilities were tested on every level. Last month, July, marked the end of this period, thanks to Saturn's departure from your tenth house."
Amazinagly its true! In the past two years, I had major struggles at work, resigned from my job twice, finally ended my career at NG, then enrolled as a full time student at CU.
One year down and only three 15 credit semesters to go!!! Life is grand!
