Thursday will be my first working day with the new employer. Yesterday was my last day of employment at popcopy. Thankfully, a 4 day mini vacation coming my way! My vacation started today with a few hours by the pool at the AG, then BBQ and a movie at Brown’s later in the afternoon. I just killed a good 2 hours messing with my blog template … hope you like! And now I’m watching another re-run of Hellboy on FX. Beats slaving for the man any day. Maybe I’ll throw in Contact for the 100th time!
I was really looking forward to my next 3 days of idle time. But I just received an email from my new supervisor, which was titled “Bedtime Reading.” I thought to myself, “Oh no!” The email was short and sweet … here’s some reading you can do before work on Thursday. Will I be quized? Do I get paid during the time I read these documents? Of course not ... but time is money ... and I ain't rich bitch! The attachment consisted of a 50 page document on the construction rules and regs for the project. I couldn’t believe it. Homework and I haven’t even started ... am I really sure about this?! What have I got myself into? I thought I had gotten away. Its all coming back … and quite quickly too. Maybe popcopy wasn’t such a bad deal … f@#$ that!!!
