Grinding It Out

I've been sharing my winning stories of my online poker games with my manager at the OP. He's big on poker and feels that online poker is very lame. He feels that it's not "real" poker. Real or not, I win money and that's the bottom line. As a challenge, he invited me to several games at his buddy's house but I turn down the invite every time. Last night however, I decided to join them just so that he would stop bugging me. I played my usual game, nothing fancy. "I can't lose what I don't put in!" replayed in my head. Thank you Matt Damon. But then, I unleashed the wrath. The first hand I played, I had rags. I bet big and no one was willing to call ... interesting! I let the other 4 players kick each other out while raking in the occassional pot. It came down to the host of the game and myself. He went all in on king high flush ... BUT ... I had the Ace high flush. Game one, I took down! Thank you ... another? The next game was in my pocket ... I had great cards all night ... I was unstoppable. I kicked out 3 players with jokers on two different hands. I was amazed myself. Game two ... I took down! Considering that I had a real slow night at the OP and made only $40 on tips, I came home with $100+ and made just enough to pay rent. My personal opinion ... there's nothing wrong with grinding it out for rent money ... right Knish??
