Cosmic Fireworks

Last night at approximately 11:52 pm (MT), Deep Impact made contact with Comet Tempel 1 at a location 134 million km from earth. A few minutes before impact, I was on the net watching NASA TV. As a first time viewer, I found it to be pretty exciting. There was a view of mission control and I got to hear some NASA jargon pertaininig to the mission. "American components ...
