Cough, Phlegm, Spit

I know how uninteresting it is to read about how sick someone is. But I'm sick ... and I need to let it out! Here goes ...

It began last Sunday when I was kicked in the teeth with a cold. Runny nose, clouldy head, coughing ... absolutely the pits. As the week went on, my symptoms got worse. But I managed to wake up every morning at 5:15, shower, and into the office by 6. I went to my classes, came back to work, got home by 6, warmed up chicken noodle soup, finished my homework and back to bed to rest for another miserable day with this damm cold. On Wed, things got worse. I became super nauseous and my balance was totally off. My manager was in town that morning. She took one look at me and sent me home. My first reaction was to continue working ... but 5 seconds later, I realized it was for the best. I went home, took lots of Tylonol Cold and slept for 15 hours. By Thursday, I was back in business. I was at about 90%. The coughing had subsided, my head was clearing up but the infamous phlegming continued to linger. Phlegm, spit, phlegm, spit. No matter how much I spit out or blew out of my nose, my body produced an infinite amount of this crap. I am a phlegm factory! On Friday, I noticed that my couterpart caught something as well. His voice was deteriorating, coughing, phlegming ... it was all my fault. I felt bad for getting him sick but in all reality there's not much I can do to prevent it ... it's in the air! After working yesterday, I was back down to 80%. The coughing returned, I felt a fever coming on ... and the phlegm ... jeeez! Didn't sleep so well last night and may of woke up with a slight fever. When will it end? Back in the day, I would have probably candy-flipped to cure my cold. But in my late 20's, candy-flipping is not a good idea ... right?
